In view of trajectory instability occurs to a typical rocket used on plateau, by comparison of theory calculation with the result of actual test, the influence factors of rocket static stability and dynamic instability were analyzed, the Magnus effect of wraparound fins was considered as the trajectory instability, and the straight fins of the rocket was designed in this paper. According to the result, Magnus effect of the straight fins is reduced 80% compared with the wraparound fins. By plateau testing, the rocket with straight fins could be used in high altitude areas.
