The behind armor debris(BAD) is great threat to internal environment of armored vehicle, It is often difficult for routine test to accurately obtain distribution rule of fragments. In this paper, on the basis of X-ray test, the numerical simulation method was used to study the characteristics of initial BAD cloud about typical shaped charge penetrating steel plate, and the forming mechanism of debris cloud was discussed, on the basis of this, the concept of "virtual origin" of BAD was put forward. After that, an initial mathematical description model of BAD cloud was established, thus the relationship of emission angle and velocity of each fargment was obtained, which is in good agreement with simulation results and lays a foundation for establishing power field of the BAD.
