Multifunction phased array radar (MFPAR) can alternately observing targets, therefore it's required to allocate the limited resources of radar to optimize the overall performance of MFPAR. An adaptive scheduling algorithm based on sparse aperture ISAR imaging was proposed in this paper. In the proposed algorithm, the target characteristics in multi-target imaging were cognized first. Then the time energy resources of radar were allocated according to the feedback information. Finally, the ISAR image of each target was formed with the gapped data by using the compressed sensing (CS) theory. It can significantly improve radar resource utilization while achieving desired image quality. The effectiveness of the proposed method was demonstrated by simulation experiments.
