In investigation and application, the up-excursion of thrust-time curve is discovered when the solid rocket motor (SRM) is ignited after being stored for some time. Focused on the problem, these possible factors causing the up-excursion of thrust time curve were analyzed theoretically and tested practically by the fault tree analysis (FAT). However, the configuration integrality of rammer working at low temperature was not relevant with the phenomenon of up excursion. In the end, the rise of propellant burning rata was proved to be the vital key that causes the up-excursion of thrust time curve. The conclusions are referable to estimating motor's life estimation and reliability.
