Numerical Simulation of Influence of Varying Rate of Clad on Jet Formation of Shaped Charge with Small Cone Angle

Based on design principle of oil well charge, the LS-DYNA3D finite element analysis software and the arbitrary Lagrange Eulerian (ALE) algorithms were used to simulate the formation process of shaped charge jet and penetration of double-layer target under different varying rate of clad the results show that the liner of thin tip and thick bottom enhance the gradient of jet velocity, and has the ability to produce high velocity and long jet; The double-layer target penetrated by jet has a small hole. The jet remain high residual velocity formed by shaped charge with small cone angle performs well against target. The optimal varying rate of clad is 0.9%.
