摘要

为实现复杂背景下的前视红外图像分割,针对图像特点,综合利用背景抑制、互信息及数学形态学的方法和理论,提出了一种新的图像分割方法。首先,采用中值滤波对图像进行背景抑制;然后,将图像配准的方法用于图像分割,利用互信息量确定最佳分割阈值;最后,对得到的二值图像进行形态学变换,得到精确的目标分割区域。实验结果表明,该方法能有效分割出复杂背景下的目标区域,有利于下一步的目标识别与跟踪。

Abstract

A novel image segmentation method was proposed in view of the features of forward-looking infrared images used for implementing the image segmentation under complex background. The method adopts the technique of background suppression, mutual information and mathematical morphology. First, the background was suppressed by using median filter. Then, mutual information was used to determine the optimal threshold, which applies the method of image registration to image segmentation. Finally, the threshold image was filtered by morphological filter and then accurate target region was obtained. The experiment results show that the method performs well in target segmentation under complex background. The segmentation results of the method are of great help to the target recognition and tracking in the next step.
