The flexible ribbon can be used as a projectile tail stabilizer, which can provide a stabilizing moment for the projectile and has its unique advantages. In this paper, based on the Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian Method(ALE), the flow-structure interaction process of the flexible ribbon is simulated numerically, and the simulation results are compared with the literature wind tunnel experiments to verify the effectiveness of the numerical method. Through numerical simulations, the effects of the incoming flow velocity, the material properties of the ribbon, and the shape of the ribbon on its drag characteristics are investigated and analyzed. The conclusions can provide a reference for the study of flexible ribbon stabilized projectiles.
