In order to evaluate the bearing capacity of missile structure more accurately, the application of plastic collapse load in structural strength analysis was studied. Based on the stress-strain relationship of real elastoplasticity, a constitutive model of the material was established, and the elastic-plastic finite element method was used to analyze the model and the collapse load was determined from the displacement load results. Taking a missile folding wing surface as an object, the concrete calculation was carried out, and the accuracy of the method was verified by static test. It was concluded that using plastic collapse load method to evaluate the bearing capacity of folding wing surface was more accurate than using the maximum stress method.
