In order to realize safe separation of carrier and houston of hanging type air launch vehicle and the successful ignition of houston, the analyse of separation trajectory and aerodynamic coupling characteristics are very important. The research described the separation process and built the system's three dimensional model; the calculation analysed 6DOF aerodynamic coupling characteristics of the seperation by using CFD dynamic grid. The simulation results showed that there is no collision in the process of separation, also, the aerodynamic coupling had positive and negative effects on separation. The conclusion can lay foundationgs for optimizing seperation's parameters and designing houstong's control laws.
