Horizontal ejection devices are mostly used in space-based launching platforms, so it is of great significance to improve their ejection performance and reduce the impact on launching platforms for the overall performance of weapon systems. In this paper, aiming at a piston-type horizontal ejection device, aiming at short time, low overload and high stability, the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm was applied to the optimization design of ejection interior ballistics, and the charge quantity, initial volume and nozzle throat diameter were systematically optimized. In order to verify the optimization results, the horizontal ejection test was carried out with the optimized parameters. The results show that the ejection process time was reduced by 1.6%, the ejection speed was increased by 14.5%, the overload was reduced by 6.1%, and the standard deviation of acceleration was reduced by 48.4%, which effectively improved the overall ejection performance. The optimization program has good universality for multi-objective optimization problems, and can provide a variety of optimization schemes according to design requirements, which provides a reference for improving the design of ejection devices.
