The Study on the Effect of Typical Fragment Mass on Projectile Power and the Control Meathods

Breaking test is an important one for fragment mass distribution evaluation, typical fragment mass calculation, and projectile power assessment. The typical fragment mass's result directly influences fragment velocity, velocity reduction factor and lethal area. The evaluation of breaking test's data is based on the "GJB3197-Test Method for Projectile", the typical fragment mass is the result of curve interpolation, there are some errors. In view of the problem of the typical fragment calculation, an easy breaking test calculation method was proposed to increase typical quality grading interval. The test proves that this method is superior to the current processing method; typical fragment quality is closer to actual weighing.
