In order to solve the problem of difficult acquisition of high precision angular velocity parameter in airborne passive location, the phase difference rate-of-change's augmentation for angular velocity was used, and a new passive location measurement model was built by two dimensional phase interferometer layout. The passive location of air target was realized. In view of negative error covariance matrix possibly inducing instability in the UKF filter, the square root UKF was introduced. The simulation shows that the position and velocity tracking error of the new measurement model decrease under the worse condition of parameters measurement. The stable tracking effect can be reached by adopting square root UKF.
