The Effect of Target FOV Location on Angle Measurement Accuracy of Theodolite

The theory of theodolite intra-stream synchronization was introduced and the influence on the CCD camera in measurement errors was analyzed. The effect of target FOV location and velocity on the angle measurement accuracy was verified. The result shows that the existing synchronous mode results in decline of the angle measurement accuracy, and the error increases with the miss distance. The measurement error of the intra-stream synchronization was corrected by both software and hardware. The data processing method of the least square estimation was validated by the optical measurement data.
