The initial disturbance is the main factor which affects launching precision of ship-borne weapon but it can not be measured by experiment. The model of ship-borne rocket during the semi-constraint period was established and the presumable range of initial disturbance under different installation location excited by ship swaying motion was calculated by the method of limited range random excitation. The simulation results show that the initial disturbance will decrease effectively if the launching is fixed on longitudinal axis of ship. Therefore, it is beneficial for overall plan for arrangement of ship-borne weapons and the deck of warship that fixing launching of weapons which raise high demand for initial disturbance such as anti-ship missile and defense missile on longitudinal axis of ship and both side of mid-ship section for low demand for initial disturbance such as ship-borne rocket.
