In order to deal with the unsteadiness of the videos caused by the shakiness of unmanned surface vessels (USV) while it is driving. An USV video stabilization algorithm based on multilayer gray projection is proposed. The purpose of stabilization is achieved by estimating and compensating the motion with differential gray projection, ring projection and circular projection. The proposed algorithm is more suitable for water surface than the traditional methods because it is more robust to the meaningless textures. The precision and robustness of the proposed algorithm in water surface is tested by doing experiments on dataset and the videos taken in water surface.
