The Study on Rate-dependent Similarity Law of High Velocity Penetration into Concrete Target

In order to design the similarity test for earth penetrating weapon which penetrates into concrete target more reasonably, based on the viscous elastic constitutive models for the concrete target, the similarity relation for ogive projectile penetrating concrete target was built, which was analyzed deeply with engineering analysis and numerical calculation. The results show that geometric similarity law is inaccurate when strain rate effect is included, and as the scale is large enough, the deviation is more obvious because strain rate effect of concrete makes the similarity relation offset and rotate. The amendment formula has been given by analyzing and fitting the calculation results.
