According to practical application requirement of strap-down inertial navigation system (SINS), a simulation platform for design and validation of strap-down inertial navigation system based on Matlab/Simulink was designed and realized. The platform includes flight trajectory generator, inertial measurement unit (IMU), SINS unit, Kalman filter unit and navigation performance e-valuation unit. It has functions of SINS algorithm validation, error analysis, error distribution and flight data off-line analysis and so on. The research results prove the simulation platform is effective and practical.
