In order to study the damage effect caused by EPW blasting with certain deepness on super-deep buried hard target, the thickness of kinetic energy projectile's shell and high-strength material adopted by projectile body were taken into account. The parameter β that is the proportion of the energy used for falling into pieces and dispersing to total energy by blast was introduced. The model of volume of funnel pit formed by blast was set up and the influence of charger weight and blast position on volume was discussed in detail. Then the penetration depth was figured out when the volume was biggest by one example. The results can provide a reference for damage research of super-deep buried hard target and optimum design of EPW.
