In view of a newly-structured projectile body with chip flutes, the dynamics equation of the fluted projectile body vertically penetrating into concrete target body was established based on the spherical expansion theory and the kinetic energy conservation theory, and interaction between the fluted projectile bodies with the concrete target was analyzed. Through comparison of the interaction between the fluted projectile and concrete target with that between common projectile and concrete target, according to theoretical analysis and calculation, it is proved that penetration effect of the fluted projectile is better than that of common projectile body and is proportional to the number of the flute between 600 m/s and 1 000 m/s. The research results of the paper could provide reference for design of new penetration warhead.
