Rocket is spinning at high speed in flight, which makes attitude measurement of the projectile be a difficult problem. Normal inertial devices might measure, but cost too much. A method was urgently needed in engineering practice which could satisfy the requirements of high overload, large range, small-for-size and low cost for the spinning projectiles. In view of this problem, a method based on global navigation satellite system (GNSS) /magnetic sensor was raised, using trajectory information exported by GNSS to calculate the roll attitude of rockets. The result of simulation shows that the calculation is consonant to outputs of inertial navigation system, fractional error is small, and the precision is satiable for engineering practice.
