To solve the safety problem of long-time underwater launching of submarine-launched cruise missile,the design of optical fiber towed buoy and hydrodynamic numerical analysis are studied. The shape of the optical fiber towed buoy is optimized by CFD method,and the configuration with relatively high lift-drag ratio is obtained. The hydrodynamic characteristics of the optical fiber towed buoy are calculated and analyzed by Star CCM+ software,and the conditions for fast recovery of equilibrium after instantaneous disturbance are determined. The results show that the fiber optic towed buoy meets the requirements of transverse and longitudinal stability,and can ensure the reliable release of fiber optic underwater for a long time. The research in this paper has reference significance for the engineering development of optical fiber guided submarine-launched cruise missiles.
