Two aerodynamic design schemes for tail of canard-controlled miniature guided ammunition were presented in this paper, i.e., pop-up tail and folded tails.The aerodynamic shape modeling for the two schemes was completed firstly.Then, the aerodynamic characteristics between 0.4 Ma and 0.8 Ma were calculated by the computational fluid dynamics method.Thus, the drag characteristics and lift characteristics of the two schemes were analyzed and compared.The calculation and analysis results show that the folded tail is better than pop-up tail in the same space constraints on increasing lift and improving available overload.
