Analysis on Influence of Different AOA on Discarding Process for APFSDS

In order to study influence of angle of attack on discarding process of APFSDS, based on CFD dynamic mesh technology and exterior ballistic 6-DOF equation, unstructured grids and TVD finite volume scheme were used for numerical analysis on discarding process at different angle of attack, and cloud of flow field shock in discarding process, curve of sabot's center-of-gravity position, discarding time and penetrator surface pressure distribution at different discarding stage were obtained.According to contrastive analysis, when APFSDS flying at positive and negative AOA, sabot discarding time increases, which is adverse to sabot separation.
