The present study of dual polarized antenna is widespread low-profile structure, high polarization isolation implementation problem. In this paper, a novel low-profile planar microstrip dipole structure is proposed. Two orthogonal microstrip dipole arrays are fed by coaxial probes to different belt-line layers below, and barron is used to realize the transition from equilibrium to imbalance. Two polarization feeder layers are designed to achieve a high polarization isolation of less than -35 dB. The antenna unit is designed and simulated, and the influence of key parameters on the performance of the unit antenna is studied. The 1×8 linear array test piece is processed, and the performance of the antenna is verified by physical test and data comparison analysis. The results show that the structure profile of the antenna is low, and the polarization isolation degree is less than -20 dB, but the proposed structural improvement measures can optimize the polarization isolation degree, close to the design level.
