In order to assess the satellite navigation and positioning performance of the weapon equipment in the polar region, the visible satellite number, PDOP value as well as SPP( single point positioning) accuracy are analyzed through compare GPS, BeiDou, and the GPS/ BeiDou integrated system. The results of data analysis on the Antarctic Zhongshan Station indicate that BeiDou satellite number in view vary between 13-21, the availability can reach up to 100% for one day, PDOP values vary between 1 and 2, the precision of BeiDou single point positioning are 3 m and 6 m in east-north and up component, respectively; the precision of BeiDou-only is much better than that of GPS solutions, the precision of integrated system compared with the GPS and BeiDou system can be increased by 48% and 15% in three dimensional.
