The goal of this paper is to research on the damage effect of the hypervelocity kinetic energy (KE) rod to the Earth, and the e-quivalent evaluation of the damage effect in order to learn about intuitively the power after the hypervelocity KE rod impacts the earth. So firstly some basic concepts about the hypervelocity KE energy impact to the earth are listed and the main damage effects are analyzed in de-tail. And then based on the exploratory contrast experiments results of the impact to the earth about the hypervelocity KE rods whose mass is approximately 100 kg but whose materials are different and the equivalent evaluation experiments, the evaluation model is put forward. The research results benefit for the future Sky-based KE weapon research.
