In order to study the influence of the polymer as outer liner on the jet formation of the double-layered liner, the stress wave propagation theory was used to analyze the principle of stress wave propagation in the double-layer liner. Numerical simulation was performed using the nonlinear dynamics simulation software Autodyn-2D. The result shows: When using the polymer material as the liner, the performance of the jet is better than that of the aluminum. Among them, polystyrene is superior to nylon, rubber and PTFE. And the best ratio of the thickness of the inner liner and the outer liner is 2: 1. And the double-layered liner has a greater performance than the single-layer liner.
