In order to decrease the deviation from the center of the beam when the missile entering into the beam, it is necessary to design the right artillery firing angle. With the main characteristics of beam riding guided missile combined, first of all, the design requirement of firing angle was analyzed; then under certain constraints, for the above design requirement, using the missile basic equation, this paper derivate the formula of computing the firing angle; finally, based on the trajectory model of a beam riding gun-launched missile, the simulation was carried on. Through simulation results, the accuracy of this method was confirmed. Using this method to determine the firing angle can meet the requirements of design and the calculation is simple.
