Aiming at the requirement of testing the average velocity before the target and the image of the target in the test of the lethality of explosive fragments for ammunition explosive fragments, this paper proposes a method of obtaining the average velocity before the target and the image of the target by using high-speed camera test, and compares and analyses the average velocity test data of the fragments at the same position in front of the comb target test, and puts forward using the high-speed camera to detect the fragments. Three different test schemes for the average velocity test of fragments in front of target are pointed out. The advantages and disadvantages of different layout schemes are pointed out respectively. The optimal layout scheme of test system is determined. The principle and process of data processing are discussed. It is shown that the method can complete the acquisition of fragments' impact velocity and image. The conclusion that the method can provide some reference and guidance for the range test work of subsequent related experiments is drawn.
