In order to improve the reliability and reduce the bit error rate of the video and data transmission in the missile downlink data link and onboard uplink data link in the current missile data link system, Concatenated code was designed for channel code in missile data link system. RS (255,239) code, interleaving (17×15), and convolutional (2,1,7) code were designed and synthesized, and the algorithm design of concatenated code was implemented via VHDL language, and the concatenated code was implemented on the FPGA chip. Through the simulation, the concatenated code can correct the error of 140Bits, and effectively reduce the bit error rate of the missile data link. The application of concatenated code to the missile data link system can satisfy the design requirements of the weapon system.
