Based on the principle of interrogator, a passive localization method for the airborne responder of TACAN system with single station is put forward. Position-line-crossing is used in the method by measuring the time-difference-of-arrival and the included angle of inquiry and response signal. The method has been proved practicable by theoretical analysis and MATLAB simulation. Compared with dual station location method, it has a simple system and needn't complex time synchronization. It is reasonable for engineering practice.
