Simulation on Strength of Nozzle Joint Structure in Solid Propellant Rocket Motor

In this paper, finite element modes of three normal joint structures of nozzle and case in solid propellant rocket motor are developed based on finite element software. According to the water pressure test load, the static strength of three joint structures of nozzle and case are analyzed, the results of stress, stain and deformation under the internal pressure have been got. Comparing the results in two sides of security and tightness, the advantages and disadvantages are disused commendably. The results show that the three kinds of joint structure can meet the requirements of design, and the model of C to withstand higher pressure, And under the same pressure, sealed performance is the best model B.
