Research on Triangular Array Combined Light Curtain Coordinate Measuring System

A triangular array combined optical screen coordinates measurement system is proposed to solve the problems of poor stability, complex structure and high cost of traditional combined optical screen target in coordinates measurement. The design scheme of the optical screen system composed of light-emitting elements and detection arrays with 3° half intensity angle is given, the selection of system components and the working principle of detection arrays in the construction of the optical screen are analysed, and the coordinates calculation method of the combined optical screen point of the triangular array-type combined optical screen is deduced. Research result shows that when the length and width of the optical screen target frame are as same as 1.1 m, the actual optical screen measurement range are 1 m × 1 m, the system can measure the diameter of the projectile greater than 5.7 mm. The simulation and comparative analysis show that the triangular array coordinates measurement system is feasible.
