Research on Thrust Performance of Solid Fuel Stick Scramjet

Fuel stick scramjet has the advantages of high specific impulse, simple structure and easy maintenance, but it is also accompanied by the problem of engine thrust instability. Based on the principle of energy conservation, a zero-dimensional model of solid scramjet thrust is established. This model avoids the problem of numerical singularity and numerical rigidity in one-dimensional thrust model. Based on this model, the effects of fuel mass flow and air flow on combustor thrust are studied. The results show that the fuel flow characteristics have great influence on thrust stability. By matching the burning rate with the combustor configuration, the engine configuration with small thrust amplitude can be constructed theoretically.
