The Design of Missile Formation Split, Reconstruction and Leader Missile Succession Controller

To meet the requirement of formation transformation in missile coordinated combat, the problem of missile formation controller design to realize formation split, reconstruction and leader missile succession was studied. A wedge-shaped formation including three missiles was taken as study object, formation flying control system structure based on formation was proposed; the missile motion model in the inertial coordinate was established: According to the relative position between the leader and follower missiles, formation controller based on adaptive control was designed. Simulation results show the control method achieves formation split, reconstruction and leader missile succession in the process of obstacle avoidance under the premise of collar missile maneuver, and the method has strong robustness and stability, which is simple and easy to implement.
