Analysis of Influence of Sea Clutter on Detection in Evaporation Duct

In order to analyze the influence of sea clutter on radar detection in evaporation duct, the method of spherically invariant random process was proposed to simulate K-distributed sea clutter in evaporation duct. The simulation result shows the relations among the K-distributed sea clutter shape parameter, the evaporation duct height and the detecting range. The result shows higher evaporation duct makes sea clutter influence more on radar detection. The results provide guidance for design of new radar system and practical application.
