Abstract

Due to probability density function dividing zero and appearing matching outliers of point-mass filter algorithm in application, firstly, the reason of dividing zero was analyzed from algorithm principle and the solution was proposed. Then judgment criterion was introduced to prevent matching outliers, the best value was got through analyzing the value of judgment criterion under different resolution in the search area. Finally, the improved PMF algorithm was simulated to analyze terrain adaptability in underwater terrain matching navigation based on these, result shows the algorithm has a good feasibility and adaptability.
