Polarization Identification of Passive Radar Target

Abstract

For effect passive radar target identification, a new method based on the difference of radar polarization was introduced. The representation of different polarization radar was analyzed, a variation of polarization identification method was proposed, which judge the polarization by analyzing the instantaneous direction of polarization and its one and second-order differential characteristics. According to the time domain characteristics of different polarization radar signal received by orthogonally polarized antenna, identification programs based on the minimum amplitude output criteria and the amplitude and phase judgment were put forward. The simulation analysis verified the effectiveness of the last two methods.
