Abstract

The three-dimensional model of free loading solid motor is established, and the three-dimensional model is analyzed by finite element method based on the integral viscoelastic constitutive relation of grain. By analyzing the dynamic response under the random axial vibration, the stress distribution and dangerous position of the rocket motor during flying and stage separation are discussed.The analysis results present that the strength at the middle of the rocket grain has significant influence on structural integrity and reliability of the rocket motor. Thus, the grain structure and assemble method of the rocket grain should be well considered in the design procedure. The analysis method and result provide beneficial reference for the design of free filling rocket motor.
