DOA Estimation of Low Altitude Target Based on GSO-IMUISC Algorithm

Regarding the problems that angle estimation accuracy of multiple signal classification algorithms (MUSIC) is not ideal under low altitude multipath interference and the calculation amount of spectral peak searching is large, the improved MUSIC algorithm based on glowworm swarm optimization (GSO-IMUSIC) was put forward. The covariance matrix of the received signal was refactories to Toeplitz matrix to eliminate the multipath interference. The disadvantages of niched genetic algorithm (NGA) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) used to reduce the calculation amount were analyzed. The glowworm swarm optimization (GSO) was used to search peaks of spectrum function. The simulation results suggest that, compared with NGA-MUSIC and PSO-MUSIC algorithm, while reducing the amount of calculation, the GSO-IMUSIC algorithm can also overcome multipath interference, and the angle estimation is more accurate.
