Finite Element Analysis of Dynamic Stress in Bomb's Explosive Column

The dynamic stress of bomb's explosive column was analyzed using ANSYS software to study the security in transporta-tion. In the finite element numerical simulation, two methods were used: one was simulated in actual condition, the other was sim-plified by reducing 1/3 computation load. The results are almost same. Calculation shows that the stress mainly concentrates in the shell of the bomb and drug body suffers small. The maximum stress is 0.00117 MPa, which is greatly less than the yield limit 8. 67 MPa of explosive pillar in the same density, the maximum deformation is 6.05×10-6m. These values were obtained in conserva-tive constraints. The values of real condition are smaller than these. It is safe in transportation.
