Optimal Evasion Trajectory of an Uncertain Guided Air Combat Missile

The evasion of guided missiles is crucial for the survival in air combat. A new model was introduced for the optimal solu-tion of the missile avoidance problem under uncertainty. The model consists of the identification and control phases. In the first phase, the target's belief in the guidance law of the missile was updated using Bayesian reasoning. In the second phase, the con-trols of the aircraft were solved using the receding horizon control scheme. The simulation results show the model is effective.
Key words: maneuvering evasion; guidance law; uncertainty
