Passive Target Localization and Error Analysis of Imaging Guided Cruise Missle

A target location algorithm is proposed by using a low-cost photoelectric measurement platform (seeker). According to the frame angle measured by the seeker when tracking the target, the line of sight angle of the target can be obtained. The line of sight angle of the target can be obtained through the real-time position of the cruise missile and the position of the target, and through the correlation coordinate transformation relationship. Thus, the system state equation and measurement equation of the target positioning can be established. Considering the nonlinearity of the measurement equation, the extended Kalman filter equation is used to estimate the target position. And the Moter Carlor method is used to calculate the target positioning error and analyze the influence of various parameters on the target positioning accuracy. The experimental results show that this method can locate the target accurately, and CEP is not greater than 10.9 meters, so it is effective and feasible in engineering.
