Abstract

The mechanism and characteristics of insulators flashover by conducting sols are different from insulators flashover by pollutants, and the damage experiment may affect ambient environment. So developing a special damage experimental simulation system is the most important condition for the related research. Based on the analysis of the high voltage power system and artificial pollution test methods on high voltage insulators, considering the characteristic of ammunition damage experiment, the experimental system of insulators flashover damage that can simulate 110kV voltage level was developed. The damage experimental results indicate that the simulation system has good performance, meets the requirement of damage experimental research and provides necessary conditions for research of conducting sol power damage technology.
