The Research on Feasibility of Receiving Loran-C Signal Underwater Based on H-field Antenna

The underwater propagation characteristics of Loran-C was researched and the H-field and E-field were calculated, and he result that the H-field antenna was the best way for receiving Loran-C signal underwater was obtained. The variances of the underwater propagation depth for H-field and E-field with the resolving power of circuits were analyzed. The voltage of H-field antenna influenced was calculated. Experiments indicate that position is feasible underwater (with the depth is less than 10m) with LoranC signals received by H-field antenna.
