Design of a Missile-borne Circularly Polarized Microstrip Antenna

Abstract

The design of a missile-borne circularly polarized circular microstrip antenna was proposed. Theoretical analysis and simulation results with HFSS show that the antenna can achieve a maximal gain of 4. 7dBi and polarization axial ratio of 1. 1~3.3dB in the direction of ±60° scanning space. The results of the simulated and the antenna size were presented.
