Research on Large Off-boresight Angle Target Acquisition in Up-Look Mode of Short Range Air-to-air Missile

Abstract

In order to give play to the excellent off-boresight performance of the fourth generation short range air-to-air missile( SRAAM), firstly the layout changing regulation of the Up-Look reticle of United States military combined helmet mounted display aided missile to intercept the large off-boresight angle target was summarized in this paper. Secondly the combat superiority brought by large off-boresight angle launch in typical air combat situation was simulated. Finally, combining the maneuvering form of fighter and the habit of observing the target by the pilot to obtain the possible cause of the layout of Up-look reticle. The summary of the Up-Look reticle and the analysis of the cause of layout in this paper has a certain reference value for the development of helmet mounted display.
