Abstract

The image seeker had the characteristics of small field of view angle and short recognition distance. In order to meet the requirements of the target interception probability of the weapon system, the searching scheme of the seeker was designed to expend the field of view of the seeker. The lateral one-dimensional search method could reduce the adverse effects of image movement and change on target recognition in searching progress; the isometric angular velocity scan and the isometric linear velocity scan were selected. The two kinds of search schemes were simulated and compared, and the simulation results show that the searching scheme of the seeker satisfies both the demands of FOV of search and residence time.
