Missile-borne Radar Waveform Design in the Presence of Clutter andColored Noise

Abstract

The missile has fast flight speed and high requirement for real-time acquisition of target information, however, the missile borne radar often does not have enough target information when it is switched on, so it can not detect the target quickly and accurately. Aiming at the above problems, a waveform design method of missile-borne radar based on linear minimum mean square error (LMSE) was proposed in this paper. In this method, the influence of clutter and color noise on waveform optimization was considered based on the cognitive theory. More important, the waveform optimized by water-filling method. The simulation results show that the optimized transmitting waveform can effectively overcome the influence of clutter and colored noise, reduce the estimation error of target frequency response, and the detection performance of missile borne radar target is improved significantly.
