Optimization Algorithm for Local Contrast Enhancement Based on Multi-scale Morphology

Abstract

In order to solve the problem that it is difficult to enhance the target region of the gray image with low contrast, this paper makes some improvements on the traditional local contrast enhancement algorithm, and puts forward an Optimization algorithm for local contrast enhancement based on multi-scale morphology. To realize the local contrast enhancement of the images, The algorithm uses the multi-scale morphological operators to improve the original local contrast stretching algorithm, establishes morphological and difference pyramid tower, and finally reconstructs the image. Experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithm can enhance the contrast of the target area of gray image very well and has a wide application prospect.
